Pharma CiMi.CON 2018 – Transforming Intelligence into Business value

The third edition of the Pharma CiMi.CON in Berlin was once again a successful conference. The 150+ attendees of Pharma CI, customer insights market research enriched the discussions, the presentations and the interactive sessions throughout the 2,5 days of the event.

Keynote speaker Jonas Pedersén (Deallus),  Jim Xu (MSD) and Martyn Smith (Roche) shared their experiences on Competitive and Market Intelligence. Based on their real-world use cases for business development and innovation & growth strategies, one thing is for sure: the buzzwords digital transformation and big data will change the healthcare landscape even more dramatically. With that in mind, it’s most important to address the need for collaboration across job functions and with different stakeholders to maximize the effectiveness of the CI and Market Insight technologies & methods.

New CI mindset: Expanding the opportunity space

Whether you are a medical device manufacturer, a pharmaceutical company or a research institute, you are all working in the same industry. Therefore a new CI mindset is needed to look at competitors as a way to gain knowledge together.

CI value vs. small budget

Innovative solutions for integrating effective CI processes into your business can even be done on a limited budget.

Getting all stakeholders on board

In many organizations CI plays a strategic role, leaving out important stakeholders who are executing the company strategies. Therefore it’s important to deliver CI value and get the attention of C-suites and sales channels alike.

Implications of Big Data

The digital health landscape is changing enabling users to track for example their health activities. This impacts NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) and clinical trial design.
