Dr Kion Ahadi joined The Law Society in May 2019 in the newly created role of Director of Futures and Insight. He is responsible for developing and leading a best in class insights and analytics function. His main interest lies in understanding the future issues impacting the legal profession, to help inform The Law Society’s 150,000 plus members. Before joining The Law Society, Kion worked in senior positions leading data, insight, research and evaluation teams within The National Lottery Heritage Fund, as well as Creative Skillset, the industry-led skills charity for the creative industries. He has also worked for Nesta, an Innovation foundation, which brings bold ideas to life to change the world for the better. At Nesta, he led a £70m investment fund, which backed innovative projects across the National Health Service. Kion has an exemplary academic record: PhD in Sociology, MSc International Business (Distinction), and a 1st class honours degree in Business Economics. He has also authored a science fiction novel “Exit Darkness, Enter Light”.
