Being patient centric is not just a matter of asking patients what they want. It is an ever-ongoing exchange process; it’s about bringing solid patient understanding into the engagements and partnerships with the surrounding world and letting your own world change and modify alongside growing this understanding.
I have close to 20 years of experience in planning, executing and implementing patient and customer insight research within both the quantitative and the qualitative area. I’m passionate about the ethnographic methodology. However, I also have extensive experience in combining methods and in working with quantitative methods, complex data sets and statistical analysis. No method is right for all topics – it’s a matter of choosing the right method for the task at hand.
Knowledge is a powerful resource – but only if it is being put to work. I have profound experience in bridging in-depth knowledge about customers/patients to the users of that knowledge, be it technically focused engineers, drug developers and trial managers, commercially minded strategists, sales representatives or innovative product and service designers. I have a large facilitation toolbox used to do so, including Design Thinking.
I consider myself innovative, creative, and strategically minded – but nothing really moves forward without a strong network and solid relations. I value working in and building collaborative relations across functions and organizational barriers.
The power of insights is often to be found in the authority and professionalism of the communication. I have broad experience with giving presentations, lectures at conferences, in teaching situations or in other major forums, both internally and outside Novo Nordisk. On multiple occasions I have presented and facilitated workshops at Executive Management level, both in Novo Nordisk and elsewhere.
As a person I am socially open minded with a positive and energetic approach towards my surroundings. I believe that a crowd is the best place for overcoming challenges and for celebrating successes, and with a team oriented, quality conscious “can do and let’s do” attitude I typically overcome most of the challenges I meet.
I have an unsatisfied passion for people management, and I believe in an engaging and recognition-oriented leadership style that creates followship from employees, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
